RARE, GORGEOUS Van Briggle Butterfly Vase, circa 1922- 1926 (by the U.S.A marking) in the "lost recipe" Mountain Craig Brown glaze (lost during Factory flooding and never replicated). No cracks, chips or repairs, a few factory glaze pops/voids on side, inside, and near rim (see last photo. Sparkling clean inside and out, crazing as shown in the photos. Signed with Logo, Van Briggle and U.S.A (as they did 1922 to 1926). About 3 inches high and about 3 1/2 inches at the widest. From a great American pottery which opened in 1899 and ran continuously until it sadly closed down in 2012. Still very much loved and collected
